FFA Foundatioini Golf Tournament/Auction Pt 1
I'm Bob Larson. If you love agriculture and also have a love for golf, the Washington FFA Foundation has a great opportunity for you to play one of the finest courses in the state.
The Foundation's executive director, Jesse Taylor says they're hosting a fundraiser this summer and they're looking for both duffers and sponsors alike ...
TAYLOR ... "It's August 23rd. It's at Apple Tree in Yakima and I am selling 18 Hole sponsors for a tournament to raise funds FFA Officer Team travel."
Taylor says the money raised will help defray the cost of travel for FFA student officers ...
TAYLOR ... "There are six officers each year and they travel to about 80 to 100 schools all over. I've got three officers on the east side, three in the west."
Taylor says the more the merrier, but they'd like to find at least one corporate sponsor for each hole on the course ...
TAYLOR ... "As of now, I've got 12 Grand Hole sponsors for our tournament and the hope is, is that I end up at 18 or even more at the end of it all. I'll take that any day, 'laughs'."
Taylor says the golf tournament is followed by a dinner and auction and are looking for as many auction items as they can.
