From the Ag Information Network, I’m Bob Larson with your Agribusiness Update.

**A trade agreement with China would be 'really big deal' for U.S. dairy.

According to the leadertelegram.com, economist Dan Basse is already hopeful 2019 will be a better year for the dairy industry, with the potential for a Class III milk price over $17 per hundredweight by late-summer and perhaps $18 by the fourth quarter. But a Trump administration trade deal with China would make the outlook even better.

According to Chicago’s AgResource Company, renewed trade with China is needed to start the next ag demand bull market.

**A proposed rule change to H-2A that would allow American employers looking for temporary help to advertise their job openings online instead of in the newspapers.

Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue applauds the proposal from the Department of Labor saying it could help farmers better deal with the labor shortage.

The change would be one of the first steps in H-2A regulatory reform that was promised in May.

**The amount of farm land up for sale has jumped 21% compared to last year at this time.

Farmers National Company’s Randy Dickhut says most of the sales are coming from individuals or ownership groups who are deciding that now is the time to sell.

He says whether they’ve recently inherited the land or have owned it for years, sellers have been watching the land market and some have decided to take advantage of the still historically good land prices.
