The National Western Stock is holding it's annual search for talented performers to sing the National Anthem.

"Every year we always do our National Anthem Contest. We always start it on the 4th of July. And the it runs throughout the next two months. Until Labor Day when we announce our winner. And its all based on fan voting. So people can go to our website and vote once a day every day for their favorite anthem. And then we announce the winner on Labor Day. That person gets to come to Stock Show and sing at one of our rodeo performances.

Leah Labonte with the Stock Show says the chosen singer usually open an event to a sell out crowd.

We get a lot of highschsool and college students, which is wonderful. And all of them have wonderful voices, we really don't get any duds. We do have some people who have sung at our show in the past, we've had people who have sung at Broncos games submit videos. It tends to be local people from the area.

The top videos will be posted at Nationalwestern.com for fans to vote on. In January the National Western Stock Show will celebrate it's 112th year.
