While the Senate is expected to start on the farm bill today - Senate Agriculture Committee Chair Debbie Stabenow says final votes might take place after Memorial Day. The Renewable Fuels Association and Growth Energy have filed a complaint with the General Court in Luxembourg - challenging the European Union’s decision to impose a 9.6-percent anti-dumping duty on all ethanol imported from the U.S. The complaint requests the complete and total end of the duty.

The U.S. Cattlemen's Association says a new consumer survey by the Consumer Federation of America shows strong support among consumers for country of origin labeling as well as strong support for USDA’s approach to resolving the COOL dispute at the WTO. Ninety percent of the 1000 adults surveyed favored requiring food sellers to indicate on the package label the country of origin of fresh meat they sell.
