Carrying Out Scotty's Bear

After getting a bear with his bow way out in the Idaho wilderness, Scotty Cyr had to get it back to his truck. "I ran into for young guys and said hey do you guys want to help me get a bear out? They said yeah sure. Where? And I said oh just up the road about a mile. So the four of us get to the bear and say wow this is a big bear. So we cut a lodgepole, tied the bear on the lodgepole, all four of us will carry this out. Two in front and two in back and we made it maybe a quarter of a mile. That took 2 1/2 hours. So those guys, needless to say, gave up. I thought now what am I going to do so I ended up bringing him down next to the creek to the cool because it was pretty warm. Ordered them up and skinned him and clean him up. Took some out and got back to camp and early the next morning I went back in and get the rest of him out. So now he is on the wall and the one thing that I should have done that I didn't do, I had taken out the whole cape, my wife Nancy said I should've gotten the butt stuffed. So on one side of the wall I have a three-quarter and you see his chest and she says that if I had kept the butt, we could've put the button on the other side of the wall.
