Craig Clark has a wonderful story and wonderful memories, both from the past, hunting with his father and for the future, hunting with his son. In a phone conversation, Craig told me that he went hunting with both, a dad and his dad and his son. "We went up the day before and my son and I went deer hunting that evening because it was closing. I saw 9 does that evening but no bucks. My dad had the cow tag and we went out to go hunting in the evening and we went up into this area where we were seeing a few tracks on a road, I had just set him down and moved off for about 5 min. when he shot. I went back to him and he had his cow down. This is your dad or your son? My dad. My son was with us to but he was in a different area. I figured I'd take my dad to this place as it was the only logging road where we had seen any elk sign on. So we have 3 generations all hunting at the same time? Yes we do. Something to be proud of. Yes it is. Has hunting been a tradition in your family for a long long time? It has been ever since we have lived here in Idaho since 1968. My dad and I have hunted in The Selway, Bitterroot area for about 20 years with an outfitter in a drop camp. Talk about the bond between father and son, and you know it from both sides when you are hunting. I am in the middle of that, my son has gotten a couple of elk now and my dad and I have hunted ever since I was a little kid. Now I am doing the same for my son.
