Every year the Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt organization holds an antelope hunt in Northeast Wyoming where the deer and antelope play. One woman, Ashlee Lundvall, makes a huge contribution and is wheelchair-bound. Here is project spokesperson Rebekah Smith: “in 2014 we had Ms. Wheelchair USA, Ashlee Lundvall, from Cody Wyoming. She was our special guest in 2014 and has, since then, been a huge part of the planning committee and comes in volunteers each year. She helps our hunters check their animals in when they get back to the ranch. We have an area where everybody brings their antelope and we let them decide whether they are going to process it themselves or if they want us to take it to a meat processor for them. She is an amazing inspiration, a wonderful speaker and person. She has a wheelchair that can go on any terrain and when she is ready to shoot it tips her up so that she can stand up and get a shot. It has tracks on it and it’s a really neat thing that she can bring to the hunt each year. Next year’s event is slated for October 11 through the 14th of 2018.
