Field and Stream

How did the editor-in-chief of Field and Stream magazine, Colin Kearns get his job? I grew up fishing and loved every minute of it, hunting I wasn't that involved in because my family wasn't. When I went off to college I studied journalism. I knew I wanted to work either at a newspaper or a magazine. When I was in college I had a summer internship with Field and Stream and had a great time and I fell in love with the magazine and magazines in general. I knew that was what I wanted to do with my career after I graduated. The ideas that I could work someplace that was about something that I was passionate about and in this case it's the outdoors and after I graduated I worked at a saltwater fishing magazine for a few years and after that I moved to Field and Stream magazine. I've been working here since 2009. I started as a senior editor then Deputy Editor then Senior Deputy editor and last September I was promoted to editor-in-chief.
