They slowly but surely started making their way towards me in big S patterns. They get to about 300 yards away and all of a sudden a coyote comes into the field and chases them off. I figure oh boy it's over. But, they came back in the field and now they were 200 yards away. And there are hundred and 50 yards away and I think oh my goodness, this could potentially happen. The gobbler keeps answering me when I call every 5 to 10 minutes. Now they are at 80 yards. I put my gun up on my knee, I'm all nestled in ready to go, and all of a sudden I suck him away from the hens and he is about 75 yards now. Then all of a sudden behind me there is a turkey about 5 yards away. He's directly behind me and came in absolutely silent. I froze because I knew at this point I knew that Turkey was good be focused on the other turkeys out in the middle of the field. Then I hear another big boss Tom walking directly to my left. I throw up the gun, shoot about 15 yards and roll the turkey. I am all excited, but".... more to come tomorrow.
