This is Bob Larson with the Market Line Report for Friday, Aug 31st. Production the key for corn on the grain market Thursday. From the floor of the CME in Chicago, here's Terry Roggensack.

ROGGENSACK ... "First factor in the market is that we've probably already priced in a 180 per bushel yield for this September report coming up just around the corner. The crop imagery people, as the second major point for corn, are looking at yields around 170 per bushel or less due to the early maturity of the crop, or maturing very quickly the Midwest so the recent weather not much of a factor for the corn market. Most of it is already far into maturity levels."

Chicago Sept Wheat prices closed yesterday dn 7 ¾ at 508

Sept Corn was dn ¼ at 340 ½

Portland prices for soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for Sept ended the day dn 5 ranging from 6-00 to 6-12 Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for Sept were dn 7 ½ ranging from 6-12 ¼ to 6-22 ¼ DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Sept were dn 7 ¼ ranging from 6-47 ¼ to 6-62 ¼

Live Cattle for Aug were up $.62 ½ at 110.15 Aug Feeder cattle are up $.15 to 149.47 ½ Sept Class III milk was dn .10 cents at 16.38
