This is Bob Larson with the Market Line Report for Tuesday, April 3rd. The grain market is down a little in Monday trading. From the floor of the CME in Chicago, here's Virginia McGathey.

McGATHEY ... "Wheat was a little bit easier today. It seems that the old crop stocks are really weighing on the prices and the futures remain in that consolidation phase even on the lower side. We're waiting for some news to give the market a little more direction and it's still hot and dry and very windy in the southern plains of the U.S. We don't know exactly about the crop damage down there, but as soon as we get that information I suspect that if there's any damage at all that it will give the market a little bit of a lift. We're in a full-blown weather market now that we've got the planting intentions in place we're going to be watching a lot more volatility as the days go ahead."
