This is Bob Larson with the Market Line Report for Friday, November 3rd Cattle market experience some ups and downs. From the floor of the CME in Chicago, here's Joe Vaclavik ...

Joe Vaclavik ... "The live cattle market finished the day sharply lower after a sharply higher start. So, a little bit of a reversal here on Thursday. The December futures contract started the day into some fresh contract highs, and again, saw some selling pressure emerge late and finished the day lower. Overall here, the action has been very positive. The cash cattle market, as a matter of fact, improved again this week. We saw some $120 trade on the fed cattle exchange and I think we saw some light trade in the country here on Thursday at $121. So, quite a bit of strength here in this cash market which is still trading quite a bit below these December futures which are sitting in the $125, $126 neighborhood."
