Super scientist Dr.Val Giddings gave me a background on the claim by Moms Across America that glyphosate has been found in breast milk. "It was stimulated by a claim made in 2014 by a group called Moms Across America. Those folks claimed they found levels of glyphosate in the milk of lactating mothers that were dangerous and caused them to worry. The scientific community was very skeptical of those claims because there were, at the time, no techniques that were proven to work detecting glyphosate in mother’s milk. So these folks for making claims based on an extremely small number of individuals, a very small sample size without controls and they made their claims in a press conference. They didn't publish anything in the peer review literature so they could tell exactly what they did and whether or not it was credible or valid. So when this came out, the people who like to encourage and foment fear of innovations in agriculture, they had lots of fun with it and they raised lots of money off of it but people who understand the biology and the chemistry involved were very skeptical. At that point, a group of scientists working with the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment in Berlin, this ticked them off. They invited nursing mothers in Germany to submit samples. 114 samples of breast milk from these folks in which they found zero that contained any level at all of glyphosate.
