Tractor & Combine Sales Up During November

According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer's monthly "Flash Report," the sale of all tractors in the U.S. in November 2018, were even compared to the same month last year.

Agri Marketing magazine reports that for the eleven months in 2018, a total of 217,491 tractors were sold which compares to 203,216 sold thru November 2017 representing an 7% increase for the year.

For the month, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were up 2% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were down 8%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were up 4%, while 4-wheel drive tractors up 61%.

For the year, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are up 9% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP are up 1%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are up 6%, while 4-wheel drive tractors are up 16%.

Combine sales were up 9% for the month. Sales of combines for the year total 4,233 compared to 3,629 in 2017, a 17% increase.
