A Beef Counts Raffle Supports Idaho's Hungry

Beef Counts is an industry-driven initiative that helps put nutritious beef on the tables of the food-insecure in Idaho. And this summer, The Idaho Foodbank once again partnered with Agri Beef, the Idaho Beef Council and Albertson's to host several events across Idaho to draw attention to the needs of the hungry and the families that rely on The Idaho Foodbank for crucial meals.

In addition to great food and entertainment, each event also gave attendees the chance to win in "A Beef Counts Raffle." T.K. Kuwahara, the Idaho Beef Council's Executive Director tells us more.

"We actually found more partners to work with during the month" said Kuwahara. "Sawtooth Pellet Grills which are based in Idaho made in Idaho donated a grill and Double R Ranch donated a "Best of the West" beef collection for a raffle for The Idaho Foodbank. Through the month of July and different opportunities and the Albertson's promotions, the foodbank raised approximately $5,300 through that raffle and again Agri Beef will match all that. So, we're very blessed to be working with great partners like Sawtooth Pellet Grills and Double R Ranch."
