It’s Friday’ so it's  Open Range Wrap Up, we’ve  got a "Beetle" and a Brown from Massachusetts so stay tuned, I’m Susan Allen. During  this year’s Golden Globes, Paul McCartney was out promoting his new animal-rights film, Glass Walls. Apparently  the musician placed a DVD, produced by PETA, into the gift bags of presenters and nominees. Narrated by McCartney ,the film takes up close and personal into slaughter houses. While I don’t agree with his view Sir Paul is passionate about his cause and likes to say that ‘If slaughterhouses had glass walls, everyone would be vegetarian." Warning  don’t watch  this one with your old Avatar glasses. In the wake of the global warming scandals are  more assertions of faulty data. Imagine that!  A respected professor of geography at Trent University in Ontario found that glaciers aren’t retreating at the rate claimed by experts. Now some good news. Last year more than twenty five hundred horses received vaccinations through the Unwanted Horse Veterinary Relief Campaign (UHVRC). The group is now accepting applications for 2010. Contact them if you’re an equine rescue or  retirement facilitiy wishing to apply for spring vaccinations. Finally, Republican Scott Brown's victory in the Massachusetts special Senate race has dealt a further blow to Democrats' drive to pass a climate control bill in 2010 good news for cattle growers.  That’s your Open Range Wrap have a great weekend and remember "the West isn't merely a place but a place in mind!"  I’m Susan Allen
