Hey if you like to take pictures of  wildlife stay tuned for today’s Open Range,I’m Susan Allen and I’ll be back with a contest that will tap your creativity. I don’t think any animal alive can compete with the beauty a  horse conveys in photographs, especially a wild one . One reason why the organizers of Wild Horse Adoption Awareness the group are launching a photography contest that will capture the beauty of America’s mustangs either in the wild or as an adopted animal. The end result will be 16 month Wild Horse Adoption Calendar  to be used as a fund raiser for wild horses.    According to Julie Bryant a spokesperson for the organization   “There are a number of professional and amateur photographers across the country who have captured amazing images of America’s wild horse population in herd management areas as well as with adopters. Wild Horse Adoption Awareness wants to share their talents but more importantly the beauty of these animals with the public”. The contest begins on March first and runs until April 31.  Visit adoptawildhorse.com for contest rules and prizes. I encourage you to get out there now with your camera’s while the snows on the ground. From my writing I look each day upon a photograph of  wild horses running through snow, It’s not only spectacular but it’s pretty darn special because it was given to me by a friend at the Burns BLM. Lets have some winners from the Northwest! Get those camera’s busy. I’m Susan Allen.
