Fungicides or not

The farm economy has been very much of a challenge of late and that may have farmers faced with tough choices with regard to inputs,... inputs such as fungicides. But in Idaho at least, come spring, we may see some challenges with regard to soggy Fields. Should I afford fungicide's or not? What are my options? Matt Malone of BASF addresses those questions. "Be far from saying that every circumstance demands a fungicide application. Any choice of using an input requires a little bit of investment. Oftentimes it's not that we have made a choice it's that we have chosen not to consider the option, especially in a depressed to commodity market. Every one of our input decisions are being scrutinized."

I guess I would think that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure so even may it might be a tight squeeze to think in terms of adding fungicides to your input costs, Think about the ramifications of not thinking about it.
