The Bonneville County Farm Bureau is in the giving spirit this holiday season, and the happy recipients of a generous donation… The youth of Bonneville County. So says Tyrell Bingham, Farm Bureau regional manager. “It’s important for our youth to know and gain an understanding of agriculture and 4H is one of those avenues that give youth an opportunity to learn some responsibility and to learn about agriculture and Farm Bureau, that’s what we are about.” After years of saving money, the Bonneville County Farm Bureau has donated a whopping $72,500 to the county fair to help with the construction of a new fairgrounds. Fair board chairman Stan Boyd says the farm bureau donation will provide needed room for various 4H and FFA animals during fair time. “This will give us 15,000 ft.² where we can house so many of our animals during the fair because in the past few years we have had to use tents. We have been unable to have enough space in barns to house our animals. We are now able to have three new buildings and renovating this Farm Bureau building to where we will in the spring finish those up and we will be holding our fair this coming year in August at the new fairgrounds.
