Pivot Control

I got a press release that said “Growers are about to gain smarter, simpler options for controlling and managing their irrigation pivots. Valley® Irrigation, introduces a smart center pivot control with the new Valley ICON series of smart panels, providing intuitive control for any center pivot irrigation machine.” I called spokesman Jake Hull for a little bit of information. Because the goal with these panels was we wanted to give them the technology but we don't want them to feel like they have to be engineers to use it. These things are just as easy to use as your smart phone. It's basically like you would be using any app or anything like that, it's very intuitive. There are menus that are very detail oriented. There are a lot of pictures and images so you can see not only where your pivot is at that time but what is happening with a picture. Is not necessarily something you have to read or know some sort of code. You can look right at it, turn the water on. You can see what angle it is at, how much pressure you have and you can see anything else that is running so if you are running any sort of a sector program or all of those details, will be available.”
