Michael and Ashley Tingey live south of Grace with their young son. MICHAEL "Do some custom farming and trucking. We raise a few foundation seed potatoes for a seed grower up to Grace. We raise malt barley and approximately 70 head of Black Angus cows. ASHLEY "I went from basically living as a city girl to a farm girl and that was quite a change. Just the hours that a farmer has it is so unlike what I grew up with. It's for the best. I love this life. I'm glad I get to raise my kids this way." MICHAEL "I think that it's important that we try to keep, to involve younger people in agriculture. It appears to me that the people involved in agriculture just seem to be getting older every year and there's less and less interest in it from younger generation. I think that it's important that we need to keep some young blood throughout the agriculture community." Michael and Ashley Tingey of Grace, Young Farmers and Ranchers and so honored this year by the Idaho Farm Bureau. Voice of Idaho Agriculture Bill Scott
