Each year the Idaho Farm Bureau pays tribute to outstanding contributions from Young Farmers and Ranchers. In a minute you'll meet Wyatt and Valerie Penfold of Driggs. You'll find Wyatt and Valerie Penfold and their three young children on their farm in Driggs. WYATT "We grow about 400 acres of potatoes. We've got mostly Russets and this year we got 70 acres of Alturas. About 900 acres of barley. And then we also grow Austrian winter peas, usually about 300 acres and rotate that in with our spuds as a green manure crop." VALERIE "I'm the lunch lady. I take lunch and dinner to Wyatt. He gets two hot meals on the tractor every day." WYATT "I'm the four generation that's farming on the same ground. That's all we've ever raised up here is seed potatoes, that's all you can raise as a cash crop." Wyatt and Valerie Penfold of Driggs, Young Farmers and Ranchers and honored this year by the Idaho Farm Bureau. Voice of Idaho Agriculture Bill Scott
