Buy a real tree this Christmas

When you head out to get a Christmas tree this year, are you heading to a tree farm - or your garage to dig out the same artificial tree you used last year?

Christmas tree farmers across the U.S. are slowly dwindling. And since we fancy farmers in this program, we wanted to point out the advertising campaign started by Christmas tree farmers, who are asking you to "Keep it Real" this Christmas.

The "It's Christmas, Keep it Real" campaign - is not only catchy - but it's also caught the eye of millions of Americans.

Part of the problem is - artificial trees are now so realistic that it's hard to tell they are fakes.

The American Christmas Tree Association says 80 percent of those in the United States who put up a tree are going artificial in 2018. That's up more than 30 percent since 1992.
