According to the U.S. Drought Monitor’s High Plains summary for the past week, aside from a

reduction in abnormal dryness around Colorado Springs in response to decreasing

long-term precipitation deficits, no changes were made to the map east of the Continental Divide, and the High Plains remained nearly devoid of drought or abnormal dryness.

The U S Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) will release the 2017 Census of Agriculture results on Thursday at noon ET.

The full Census report will include millions of data points, including number of farms, land in farms, total value of production, demographics, and more at the national, state, and county levels.

We’ll have a more information on how Colorado farmers and ranchers can access the data on Thursday.
