The first full week of spring saw trade activity light on moderate demand compared to the week before.

Northeast Colorado Areas

Alfalfa

Large Squares: Good/Premium 200.00.

Grass

Small Squares: Premium 310.00-350.00 (10.00-10.50 per bale), Retail/Stable.

Southeast Colorado Areas

Alfalfa

Mid Squares: Supreme 280.00, Retail/Stable.

Premium 240.00, Retail/Stable.

San Luis Valley Areas

Alfalfa

Large Squares: Supreme 245.00.

Fair 165.00.

Mountains and Northwest Colorado Areas

Grass

Small Squares: Premium 310.00 (8.50 per bale), Retail/Stable.

Moderate to heavy rain eliminated the lingering pockets of Abnormal Dryness (D0) in northeastern Colorado and western Nebraska, while a continuation of wet weather in east-central Colorado reduced abnormal dryness east of Colorado Springs. Meanwhile, another round of moderate to heavy snow across central and western Colorado pushed mountain snowpack Snow Water Equivalents to record or near-record levels resulting in additional reductions to the lingering long-term D0 and Moderate Drought (D1) .
