Food and agricultural businesses in Colorado who are just getting started and those who are looking to grow have two opportunities to advance those goals.

Danielle Trotta is Business Development Specialist with the Colorado Department of Agriculture. She says two planned workshops will host speakers who are "actively engaged in the food system, and they are excited to share their expertise with others."

"What they're designed to do is help those who are having a hard time or are not sure how to get to certain next steps in their process. The workshops are a little different. One of them is geared toward people who already have an established business. Our other workshop is for truly the beginner."

The first workshop, Taking the Leap into Retail and Beyond is set for

January 29, at the Colorado Department of Agriculture in Broomfield.

The second workshop, called Colorado Food and Agriculture Entrepreneurs will be held February 13 at CoBank Center for Agricultural Education In Fort Collins.
