Colorado Producers are tallying up some yearly production numbers. The information is part of the annual December Agriculture Survey.

Bill Meyer at the Lakewood office of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) says the service is in touch with producers nationwide to gather final year-end crop production information such as grain and oilseed stored on their farms.

"We're going to be interviewing about 2000 Colorado Producers. We're going to get final acreage and yield numbers for the late season crops including corn. And also the stocks information from them. We'll be collecting the data the first two weeks of December. And we certainly appreciate any information the producers can give us."

Meyer says all the information provided by respondents is confidential. Once the data is collected and organized NASS will release a report with the numbers in the middle of January.
