PLC Annual Meeting

Yesterday we told you, this week marks the 50th anniversary of the Public Lands Council. If you are a supporter of the organization, you may want to join them for the annual meeting, which is set to take place in Park City, Utah in September.

Ethan Lane is with the PLC, and says the Annual Meeting is an opportunity for ranchers to gather and discuss the issues that affect their business.

Since 1968, the Public Lands Council (PLC) has actively represented the cattle and sheep producers who hold public lands grazing permits. The PLC advocates for these western ranchers who preserve our nation's natural resources while providing vital food and fiber to the nation and the world. Today, more than 22,000 public land ranchers maintain 250 million acres of U.S. public land. The PLC Annual Meeting is an opportunity for these ranchers to gather and discuss the legislative and regulatory issues that affect their business, and hear from government officials, policy decision makers, and livestock industry leaders. This meeting is especially significant as we are celebrating 50 years of serving ranchers in the West!
