The Colorado Pork Producers Association says it's focus at this year's annual meeting is on young producers.

Executive Director Joyce Kelly says all youth who show hogs at fairs must go through specialized training but, this year it will look a little different.

"Helping them understand what it is to raise a good, healthy wholesome product. With the changes coming you just need to get certified once instead of for every species."

Kelly says the training is also to help parents and grandparents and young business owners learn what it looks like to take on this responsibility.

"People, pigs and planet."

The meeting is set for November 20th at the Morgan County Fairgrounds. RSVP at http://www.copork.org,

Anyone who raises raises hogs in Colorado is welcome to attend.
