Celebrate 100 Years with Mountain View Dairy on June 10th

The Western Dairy Association and Mountain View Dairy invites the public to celebrate 100 years of dairy farming in Loveland on Saturday, June 10th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Western Dairy Association Senior Director of Industry Relations Bill Keating provides more details

Keating: "This is June Dairy Month so in celebration of June Dairy month, we're having this public farm tour. Where we will give people a chance to come out and see a real working dairy and for the kids to see where their food comes from. The event is at Mountain View Dairy, which is 6875 North County Road 9 in Loveland, Colorado. The second reason for this particular celebration is it is the 100th year anniversary of Mountain View Dairy and the Dickinson Family have been dairying there — the owner is a fourth generation dairy farmer."

Keating continues with more details about the fun family activities that will be happening.

Keating: "There will be free pizza from Domino's pizza, True Moo chocolate milk, Noosa yogurt, scrumptious ice cream. There will be face painting and yard games for the kids. But more than anything a chance to see real dairy cows and to see what they eat and how well they are taken care of — a real neat opportunity."

This is a free event to attend — again this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 pm. at Mountain View Dairy in Loveland.

One note to remember for the public attending is that because this is a working dairy farm, closed-toe shoes are recommended and strollers will be difficult to maneuver.
