This is Bob Larson with the Market Line Report for Friday, Oct 12th. A USDA report gives a boost to corn in grain trading Thursday. From the floor of the CME in Chicago, here's Terry Roggensack.

ROGGENSAK ... "Corn yield coming in at 180.7 bushels per acre. Traders were looking for 181.8 per acre. The range was 180.6 to 183.5 so we came in right on the low end of the range of estimates. Second factor, ending stocks coming in at 1.831-billion bushels. That's about 100-billion bushels below trade expectations. Keep in mind, the high end of the range of estimates for ending stocks 2.352-billion bushels, so this came as a supportive surprise to the market."
